What is your favorite quote? How did you come across it? Who's it by?
What impact does it have on you?

here's one of mine:
"To be a born loser, means to be born into a unhealthy, unwealthy, unwanted family. That can be changed by self respect, wisdom, and strength.
Born a loser, died a winner. Take a chance, make an effort, live your life."

Don't bunt. Aim out of the ballpark.

-David Ogilvy

I actually found this randomly on the computer one time. It just reminds me that when I do something, I need to do it 100%, regardless of the situation. I believe that when somebody does not give 100%, especially during competition (I'm an athlete), that it is a slap in the face to themselves as well as their opponent.

"Oh, maybe I'm glad, maybe I'm sad, maybe I'm a little mad."

Carl Barks wrote it in a Disney comic. An inventor, Gyro Gearloose, creates a machine that interpets what animals are saying. He uses it on a song bird and asks why it sings, and the bird answers with the above.

I always enjoyed it because while we try so hard to understand everything around us through science, we sometimes forget to just sit back and enjoy it.

I can't tell you who wrote it cause I don't know but this quote has stayed with me for many years and it always brings a little relief to what ever situation comes along that makes me remember it.

From the moment we are born, from the craddle to the hearse,
nothing is ever so bad, that it couldn't be worse.

Makes sense to me!

My favorite is not by some famous person, or out of a book or movie. It is my own and I think everyone should live by it. The world would be a much better place if everyone would think like this. "Be nice, No one likes a jacka$$."
