A Upscaling (upconverting) DVD player. Denon 1910 is a good one. buy a good brand though or the video board will make the picture look terrible. buy from a good video store. (commissioned employees = knowledgeable employees) No Best buy etc

if it suports high def, get a dvd upscaler it will upconvert the dvds to high def they cost about 100$
