The majority of the people on here keep referring to their friend as a boy or a girl.
I dont think that they are mentally capable of knowing what love is like between a man and a woman that is not a relative.

That is true - but they "think" they know. Remember what it was like when you were young? You really believe you are in love when you are young but it's really puppy love. Of course they don't know. Truthfully, what they NEED to know is that people change a lot even between 21 and 25. They'll learn but they won't listen. They have to learn the hard way I think.

I honestly don't think you have to be a certain age to know what love is. Yes, I do agree, there are a lot of people under the age of 21 that are extremely immature and wouldn't have a CLUE about what love is. But I think there are a few who have matured and maybe are at a much higher level of maturity than others their age. So I do believe it is highly possible. Yet, though, I know of adults who don't know what love is, to tell you the truth. Then again, I know a couple who have been dating ever since their 8th grade year in school and now they are 48...So, I think it really just depends on the person..

So in the journey that your elderly less than 21 you won't be able to shelter your self no longer to prepare a baby. I agree there's a good number of idiots about yet its no longer honest to tar all youthful moms and dads with an same brush i had my son at 18 and he's now an fairly superb satisfied properly mannered 11 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old and its no longer tremendous for some stranger to accuse of kid abuse. i became also no longer to immature i surpassed my element 3 NVQ in infant care 8 weeks after he became born. EDIT: I easily have also had to proceed to exist advantages for a lengthy time period by no decision of my own and it became very not common so i do not realize why human beings will surely have little ones therefore on my own.

I understand what your saying but I don't agree with the coment that people under the age of 21 don't know what love is. I am 20 and have been married to my husband since I was 18. I love him very much. There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank my lucky stars for having him. I think that I do understand what love is otherwise we would probably not still be married. I think that people who put requierments and stipulations on love are the one who don't know what the meaning is.

It is very common for people to believe they are in love when they experience they have never experienced before. It's very difficult to transition from childhood into puberty and young adulthood. Besides the raging hormones, it is nice to feel like one has met someone who understands them and cares about them. It is a different kind of love than one has with family or friends.

Nevertheless, I don't find it's helpful to tell a child/young adult that they are wrong and mistaken. For them, at the moment, it IS real and it IS important. Minimizing or negating that does not make it any clearer and usually leads to them doing things they are not emotionally or mentally ready to handle.

Edited to add: Age does not determine what a person understands about love. I know people in their 40s, 50s and 60s who still believe codependency means love.

I myself am under 21, but there are some people who fall in love at a young age. Others just think that they know everything. Only when you have experienced love first hand do you really know what it is. They just don't realize that. People are thinking the wrong ways these days.

Because they are judging what they see or feel by there experiences. Unfortunately they have much more limited experience than a person much older than they, but that is not their fault. If anything can be attributed to a fault of theirs would be to assume that with limited experience of life they can lay claim to love with absolute conviction.
But as time passes and they experience more elements of life they will mature to know the difference between true love and the puppy love they feel at their current age.

You got that right. Many of that age don't understand what love is.That is why whenever there is something called a breakup in their age people get into some mental disorders like depression and some go to the extent of shooting themselves.
They need to learn first then act.
Good luck.

Actually, you would be surprised. Yes, I can completely agree that the vast majority have NO IDEA what true love is like between two unrelated people. Hormones often can and do cloud us from truly understanding it. But there are some who actually do understand what true love is about.

There are exceptions to every rule. What do you have to say about High School Sweethearts? Were they not fully in love until age 21??
I have seen countless 21-25 year olds who were still immuture about true love....
