First I have to asess the situation and see if the problem is one that I can resolve on my own or if I need someone elses effort to resolve. Secondly, I find all the possible methods of solving the problem and choose the best one. Lastly, I put the chosen method into action. I make sure that I follow through with it and see a result in the end. I make it sound very stragtegic, but it also takes a lot of mental and emotional effort to solve your problems.

Is it financial? Is it relationships? Work?? I tend to obsess. To stop thinking about the past, I say mantras over and over. Think about something beautiful (ocean, picture, etc.)
When having a negative thought I say stop! Then do one of the above. Read a book. Be accountable for your actions.

Positive in ..... Positive out! I find that as long as I keep a positive attitude about everything this will allow my brain to really kick in and help me to resolve the problem.
