how about Gospel of Piter? Gospel of Adam and Eve. Gospel of infancy of Tomas. And how the church leaders ( which are humans) can decide what is god word or not?
For those can only pay attention to spellings... i guess Jesus will be checking thier spellings but may also concider that they can write but never even read the bible.
Peace

This is a very complex and lengthy question. If you really want to know, be ready to read a bit.

Do your own research.

There are 66 books in the Bible.
There are Apocryphal books, which are the writings that some have included in certain Bibles but that have been rejected by others because they do not bear evidence of having been inspired by God.

For example, The book of First Maccabees, while not in any way to be reckoned as an inspired book, contains information that is of historical interest. It gives an account of the struggle of the Jews for independence during the second century B.C.E. under the leadership of the priestly family of the Maccabees.

The rest of the Apocryphal books are full of myths and superstitions and full of errors. They were never referred to or quoted by Jesus or the writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures.

Those are two completely separate issues.

Let's deal with the second issue first.

Anyone who wants to can publish a Bible with any additional books he chooses. Therefore, there is no ban on addiing books to the Bible.

The difficulty with the first issue is that some books mya have only contributed a brief passage in a previously existing text. For example, some of the poetry in the Penateuch may be quotations from other sources.
