But if he is sending signs to me and I might 'miss it' as you say, why would he send them if he already knows im going to miss them? He is all knowing.

Elis, Some here get it some don't. You have to accept Jesus in you heart first. have you? Ask him to reveal himself to you. Go to his word " Bible" He will speak to you. If you are looking for the truth and you are already seeking God you might already have the answer, you just need to know what his voice sounds like. Im praying for you.

Have you looked in your copy of the Bible yet (do you know how to locate the information)?

The apostle Paul told Timothy at 1 Timothy 2:3, 4: “This is fine and acceptable in the sight of our Savior, God, whose will is that all sorts of men should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth.”

Therefore, gaining accurate knowledge of the truth as taught in the Bible is a key to salvation. However, that knowledge must reach the heart, the seat of motivation. It cannot remain as an intellectual or academic exercise. Moreover, once it has been gained, knowledge of the truth has to be used and replenished. Why is that? Because the memory, like an unused muscle, may become weak and deficient, in which case we may easily neglect our spirituality and begin to drift and waver in our faith. We may loosen our grip on “the very knowledge of God.” Soon, this wavering may be reflected in lax thinking ability and even unchristian conduct.—Proverbs 2:5; Hebrews 2:1.

Taking in accurate knowledge is vital. A fuller knowledge of God’s Word and purpose can more powerfully influence our thinking and our actions in a positive way.—Romans 12:1, 2.

God's will for you is to learn as much accurate truth about him as possible. My suggestion...contact and set up a free Bible study with one of Jehovah's Witnesses. They will help you to fully understand God's will for you.

Yeah. I went by that finished bit, myself. Now Im rather particular there is not any God. no longer because of that, yet over a series of activities and gaining information and determining how basic and accessible the perception of a god is, compared to each thing else. Im nonetheless technically an agnostic. yet Im an atheist. An agnostic atheist to be proper. Im particular there is not any god, yet I admit that i ought to in all likelihood be incorrect. even if I fairly doubt it. save praying until eventually you eventually keep in mind that its a waste of time. you eventually will comprehend it. imagine of it like this. If God does exist and needed you to believe and performance faith... you'll believe and performance faith. because he would have executed some thing that ought to were sufficient to in my opinion convince you, inspite of how you felt or what became occurring with you on your existence.

Ya din't do it rite. Ya hafta go on a high mountain to deprive your brain of oxygen and fast for 40 days to reduce your glucose level like Moses and Jesus. Isolate yourself totally from all sensory perceptions. Then you will hear you right hemisphere talking to your left hemisphere. That's the god generated by your brain. Serious. First off, don't listen to Grover. Just wait honey. God reveals everything when the time is right. I am 28 and I just found out my purpose last year and I have wondered forever it feels like. Maybe you already know but it just hasn't hit you yet. Don't give up on Him 'cause he'll never give up on you.

I've noticed that patience is mentioned on here a few times and that is very important, but it's only part of the answer. Equally important, if not more important, is that you must have faith that God will reveal his will for you for it to actually be revealed. Have faith that your prayers will be answered and that God will guide you through your life as long as you submit to him and follow his plan.

Sometimes He has revealed it and you are blind to it or it's not what YOU want to do. Be patient and pay close attentions to the "signs" He puts before you. Sometimes it's right there in your face and you totally miss it. If you pray to do His will, be prepared for it to be the exact opposite of what you really want to do. Remember, if you take your own path, chances are, it's not the right one! Good luck and God Bless!

elisiolloyd,

2 reasons:

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6a

God’s grace is given to the humble, and you will never know God without His grace.

God bless.

Your time is not God's time. You have to be patient. God is not a genie in a lamp. He works in ways that are not understanding to us.

Sometimes you just have to stand still and wait. He speaks in a small still voice and if there are things in your life that are clouding it you can't hear him. Other times you already know what to do. The only advice that I have to to wait and be patient.
