"Our family is a circle of love and strength. With every birth and every union the circle grows. Every joy shared adds more love. Every crisis faced together makes the circle stronger."
Guess this is kind of long for a tatoo isn't it, but I think it says what you want. Maybe just "Family is a circle of love" around your ankle or arm or something?

Although I am not a tatoo girl, I once saw a tatoo that really had a lot of meaning. It was an angel with the names of past loved ones on it and a beautiful saying about always being together.

I really don't know what a tattoo should say to dedicate it to your family, but i have a niece that was killed in a car accident, and her mother, her brother and I have a tattoo dedicated to her with her name, the date of her birth and the day she passed away. To us, it helps keep her memory alive.

Me and my family all have matching tattoo's ... not really the same thing .. just the same "saying" we all are into racing dirt bikes, going camping in the desert & anything that drives fast ! We all have "Team (our last name here)" It's kinda like our own Race Team ...
Mine is on my back ... 3 cousins have it on their arms ... one brother has it on forearms and the other on his chest ... we have a few more that aren't 18 yet .. but as soon as they turn 18 we're heading to the Tattoo Shop.

well I can tell you what my best friend did. She has a Yosemite Sam holding a gun and had her grandchildren's name's applied like they were being shot out of the gun. Really cute. If you have a very large family maybe just the last name, that covers everybody.

As a tattoo artist, I find many people devote different things to their families. Whatever the design you choose make sure it's original and not something every person out there has or a rendition of what every one has.
I personally design my own things. one of a kind...no one else has them...
