If you are working under the influence, you are at risk to yourself and others. If you get injuried at work, it ends up as a workmen's comp case and guess who pays for it -- the employer. Trust me they probably don't care about your welfare but they do care about liability and money.
So why hire someone who uses.

employers want to know if people are on drugs because drugs can effect the way you work. you could hurt yourself or someone else due to bad judgment. for safety reasons. be careful. life is hard.
