I want my period back. I got off the pill in March, I had been on it for a year, and haven't had a period since. I'm not pregnant and I'm fine is there anything I can do to get my period back, you know to make myself have one because this is getting really fustrating. I feel really stupid for asking this actually.

This happened to me, and my doctor put me on birth control pills and things evened out. I can understand your frustration. The doctor will give you progesterin pills for 10-14 days and it is supposed to make you get a period. If it does not then they will get blood work and test your hormone levels. If the progesterin challenege works, then they will put you back on birth control pills to regulate you.

That's really odd. I'm sure you're periods were just like clock work while you were on the pill and to have them stop when you quit taking them is weird. Sure, you're cycle would be a little messed up but not to have one at all? I'd say give it a little more time and then if you still don't have a period definetly go see your doctor.

Your body needs time to adjust after taking the pill for a year. I believe that it may take up to six months for your body to resume the cycles that you had before you started taking the pill. By all means check with your doctor for professional advice, but I'm willing to bet that everything is a-ok.

It isn't normal to not have your period. there is an underlying medical condition that is stopping you from having your period. I know that being severely under or over weight can cause this. Not having any details, i suggest you see a doctor to investigate why you aren't having your period.

I had the same problem. Go see an endocrinologist, or get your primary care physician to refer you.
