There could be a couple of reasons for this. First thing to do is make sure that your friend is sending the E-mail to the correct address. Your eyes can see what they want to see sometimes so make sure by typing in the complete address and not taking it from an address book. Second is that your friend's emails are ending up in your SPAM box. Check there to see if the e-mails are being delivered there.
Good Luck

Try sending your friend an email from your address and request that he forward it back to you by replying. This will signal where the problem lies. If you are able to send to him and he is able to reply to that email, then the problem is at his end and could be that he has incorrectly entered your email address. Tell him to simply add you to his address list using the email he has received from you.
Otherwise, contact Yahoo Support. Your inbox shouldn't be full, all Yahoo accounts are large capacity in boxes now I think
Good luck

Interesting...That means you people tried it out still it does not work...make sure you friend puts . (dot) or _ (underscore) properly in the right place.Next after he has successfully sent the mail do a search in yahoo. You will be able to get the mail search at the top right.Search for his email (from text field). In case you have created filters those mails might be landing in one of the folders. Also do check in your bulk folder. In case you find in bulk folder mention it as "Not spam".And in case you find in any other folder(other than inbox) change filter appropriately or create a new one for you dear friend.
Also while mentioning your email id clearly tell if it is 0(zero) or o (o of owl) if any present and i or l capital I and l(small l) look same, and 1 or l(small L) or I (cap i)...ok...cheers...
