a hangover isnt a lack of whatever you were drinking before, a hangover is your body's way of telling you its dehydtrated. So best thing to do is have some water before you pass out, and keep a glass by your bed (or where ever you may land) so when you drink up you can have a few more sips and you'll be ok.
And grinding up some aspirin and swallowing that is surprisngly awesome for fighting the headache

Obviously, the best thing is to not get one to begin with. If you know you're going to drink a lot, pound some Gatorade before you go out, when you get home, and, if possible, during your drinking spree.
If you can't easily get Gatorade (Powerade, whatever), try drinking at least one 8 oz. glass of water between every two drinks. It really does work wonders.
Also - take aspirin before you start drinking and before you go to bed. DO NOT take Tylenol or any acetaminophen product when drinking alcohol - yes, even beer. It is very dangerous to mix the two in any quantities.
If you already have a hangover, liquids, aspirin, and quiet. If you have to go to work or some such horrible thing, try caffeine (pills, Mt. Dew, coffee) and Excedrin Migraine formula.

I dont know if im the best person to answer this for you. Mainly because Ive had maybe 3 hangovers in my life. But I know that when im drunk....i usually eat something....right before bed....drink lots and lots of water. I think the food is the best way i get rid of a hangover....obsorb the alcohol. im just lucky to not get hangovers...and dont worry, i drink a lot. The only times ive had them is when i drink straight Jack or Vodka...no mixes, just right out of the bottle. yep...i feel that the next day. haha.

A hangover is actually your body suffering withdrawal from alcohol. Simply introduce small amounts of what ever the poison was from the previous night and you will feel better in no time.
Caution if you drink too much you will be worse off then you already are

If you can do it before going to sleep, drink a lot of water. If you have already woken up with a hangover, you won't be able to cure it, but if you drink plenty of spicy food (try some chilaquiles or pozole) you will be able to at least settle your stomach down quite a bit.

try not to drink beverages that use a lot of mix...
don't drink wine ...
but if it is too late ,try to take a couple of asprin...not tylenol or asprin substitue.....and eat a small sandwich or snack before you crash.... if you are too drunk to make the snack, then you probably should just go ahead and suffer the hang over .. this worked for me... but what works best of all is "hair of the dog that bit you"... a bloody mary when you wake up will help your system kick the alcohol your body is now withdrawing from.

I have found that for beer drinkers...Chaser Plus...It really works!! Just take two with your first brew and then take two more every 2-3 hours (or 4-6 drinks)...I typically don't hold my alcohol well...but with Chaser Plus...I can drink with the best of 'em and not be sick or groggy in the a.m.!!!!
