Depends on what they are doing. If he's looking at questionable sites, (p0rn, chat rooms, games, personal or dating sites) then he has a problem, tell him "I'm outta here". Nevermind trying to change him, it will never happen. Just leave him. You dont need that sorta BS.
Now, if he's doing something totally legit, checking his stocks, day trading, programming, doing web development, design work, etc... be happy for him. And keep him around, he's dedicated, and is working his a$$ off. Either way, if I was you, I'd probably still leave him, you sound like you need more attention than what he is giving you.

Why not find out what kind of activities he likes to do on the Net. Maybe 2 of the 3 to 6 hours a day are spent on YA to help him achieve Level 6 rating?

Why should you be worried? I think that this guy prolly just enjoys surfing the net. Now if he is getting into some weird sites, than that's cause for worry. If it's really bothering you, try to come up with something that the two of you can do together to get him away from the computer. Suggest going out for a walk or something.

Hey, I spend all day on it. It's not really a bad thing.
I see it as education. When I have nothing else to do, I will get on the computer and browse around. You see, I am in pursuit of a career in writing, so the more typing I do, the more I hone my skills in both writing and typing.
I also use it to find ideas on what I can do outside; I will use it to find mods for my car or bikes, find new car clubs, new riding buddies, ect... All kinds of stuff.
Like I said, as long as he's not wasting his time looking at weird pictures of turds or playing stupid little games, it's an educational as well as social experience, and a big part of many people's lives.

If he's surfing porn, then yes. If he's an obsessed hobbyist, computer/information junkie, then maybe. If he says it's for his work, that's the hardest one to change, in my opinion.
I would have a talk with him about it, but keep it non-threatening. Offer alternative ways to spend time, even when you're not with him. There's a lot more to life than sitting in front of a computer, and that needs to be made more obvious to him.
How about TV? He'd probably be open to watching funny shows with you instead at least some of the time.

Depends what he's looking up!
If he is part of forums or organizations, he'll want to visit at least 30 mins to an hour per group making sure he's read and answered everything that interests him.
However, if he's just looking at nonsense, I would do everything you can to get him off the computer.
My bf does the same thing sometimes.
I suggest we make dinner together, go to a movie or the beach or out for a walk. Try to offer to do something that takes him away from the computer.
It works for me!
Good luck!

Just posting the questions tells us you are worried. It sounds to me like there's not much dating going on at all. Tell your significant other to get a life, 3-6 hours a day is WAY too much! Why doesn't he/she just get on the internet at work all day like the rest of us?

Maybe. Try doing more things together and see if still spending hours on the web. If yes ask why are they spending so much time on the web. Don't worry and stay encouraged.

The net is just addictive like that! I spend hours on here even if I have nothing on here to do!!! You can spend hours on YA alone!!! So don't worry based on that alone.

That's a lot of net time. If you want them to be with the computer less and with you more, then you should tell them because they may not even know that it bothers you.
