I mean i know that it probably begins with prayer, and maybe even taking communion, but is it through nature, is it through just worshiping with all we have? I mean you can experience your family, your friends, your computer, your pets, but how do you experience God. I mean the power of God is so infinite, how do you experience him? I am actually writing a book on this, and wanted some research answers, so what do you think?

my favorite way to experience God is through a thunderstorm.. seeing that awesome power manifested in lightning and ground shaking thunder is so sweet.. sometimes just quieting my mind and listening to the nature around me and watching the breeze when i'm outside really make me feel at peace.. give it a shot :)
p.s. also quieting your thoughts when you pray to Him.. not letting your other thoughts distract you as you commune with Him.. that really makes a difference in my opinion

Well, I think - as you already mentioned - that it all starts with the act of praying. By having this strong belief which gets stronger and stronger when you notice that God actually helps you everytime you pray to him...sometimes those aids are easy to see, also sometimes difficult, but the weird thing about it is that he ALWAYS helps! Then the faith increases...and I think all in all you'll come to the conclusion that God is LOVE...that's what it is all about. Love...when we love and are loved we experience God. We experience the motive of life, it is the hope and the pleasure of life and love that we experience that "represent" God!
Hope I could help you a little with my comment although I can imagine many people think I'm crazy now. But that's the way I see it!

You can experience God in myriad ways - in church, communion, a baby's cry/laugh, a smile, communing with nature, etc. I think that as many people as there are in the world, there's just as many ways to experience God. I personally have found I feel closer to God sitting by the side of a creek listening to the water rushing over the rocks than I ever have sitting in a church pew. It reminds me of the verse that "wherever two or more are gathered in My name, so shall I be also."

Well we can experiance God in many ways. One of them you have already stated as in being prayer. By praying to God, we are talking to him. We praise, thank, ask for, and confess to him through our prayers. Another way is to read the Bible. His word is a great way to see Him and understand His power and love. When we paraphase and journal about different passages of verses, we also experiance God's power. We can also experiance God through nature. Since he is our Creator, what better way then to step outside and look around. Nature tells us so much of God. It tells us that He is very powerful and he cares about every little thing. He is very complex and extremely smart. He created everything from a grain of sand to a huge desert. The Lord has also created our studies such as math and science. He knows everything there has to be known. We know he is very meticulous in his work because look at our place in the universe. We are located at the very middle. If we were a little to much to the outside or inside we would be exposed to dangers such as black holes. We are also located so conviently to the sun that we don't burn or freeze up. By knowing God, we can experiance him. Singing spiritual songs and praises also helps us to feel his presence. If you try it or if you have tried it you will know what I mean. It's as if you are only in a world with just God. Enjoying nature helps us to experiance God because we can be in His power and love. It is truly amazing. I hope that was enough. If you need more just ask.

I'm not very religious (and not exactly Christian) but I believe I've felt God now and then.
One time I was just lounging on the bed with the sun shining on me, and I was all warm and peaceful and I may have dozed off a bit at some point. It's a hard sensation to describe, but it felt like the sunlight was the consistency of honey, except instead of being sticky it was like being curled up in a blanket, and it just felt like God was in the light.
Also, you know the feeling you get when you see a really good sunset? My religious beliefs are probably different than yours, but when I focus on them and think about how "right" they feel to me, I get that sunset feeling.

Firstly accept JESUS into your life,go to a good christian church and attand bible class if you can.Read the bible and spent as much time as you can praying to HIM,that will build up your relation with HIM (like a father and son).Trust HIM with your life, slowly you will feel the power of the HOLY SPIRIT working in you,and many wonderful things will happen (like healing power) which I have personally experience in 2 years of my christian life.
I use to have high blood pressure n grout (my doctor said that i have to take medication for the rest of my life....)but now I've stop taking those medication for 1 n half years n my blood pressure in normal n no more grout because I've found the best doctor anyone can have...HIS name is JESUS CHRIST.And as time goes on you'll feel HIM near you,n when you read the bible or pray or sing worship you'll feel your body is like electricfied n is a wonderful feeling no words can ever express this feeling.....and remember the golden rule of JESUS....."do to others what you want others do to you"..ok.GOD bless you...GOD is LOVE..AMEN

There is a point in everyone's life when they must realize that there is evil in the world. It is at that time when one's innocence is lost forever. God has never performed a miracle in reality, only in once upon a time, my life became a living hell and it seemed the more I prayed the worse it got, so my epiphany was the cold hard slap in the face that there doesn't appear to be a god.

If we have a real relationship with him,we can experience his presence all the time.
not only through worshiping & praying ,but in everything we do we can feel his joyful presence & peace within our hearts and experience his blessings even during playing,eating...ect
[for in him we live and move and are]acts 17:28
Note: u say[ God's power is so infinite]and yes it is,but since our bodies are so limited ,we experience his power in a limited way so that our bodies can stand it.God Bless.

My experience is not something that I create, but rather something I seek. It is one-on-one time in His Word, in worship, sometimes even in driving the car and praying for those inconsiderate drivers around me, ya know? It is so awesome to see that He can turn my thoughts around in the midst of someone cutting me off or turning unsafely in front of me. I believe it is the complete giving of yourself to a personal relationship with Jesus that starts your path of experiencing Him in a greater way. With that, opening up to the invitation of the Holy Spirit and a prayer life that is unceasing. I would love to read your book, please give me an update as to when you have it ready for distribution! Blessings!

hafediddy,
I love to read God’s Word because I find Him in its pages. I enjoy life’s lessons because He molds me and reveals Himself through them. I love to be alone with Him, and I love to worship Him with others. I love to teach and encourage others to know Him and to love Him. Sometimes, I feel like I can’t wait to see Jesus.
I find that words cannot adequately express my heart to God, and so I am often silent in His presence. I had a friend in his 80’s – he is with Jesus now. He had faithfully ministered since his teens, and he told me that he loved to marinate in the Spirit. He would just lie back in His recliner and enjoy God’s presence.
I must suggest a book to you especially since you are writing a book of your own on the subject. It is called “The Practice of the Presence of God” by Brother Lawrence. It is in the public domain, and so there are various versions of the book. I can only recommend the one with the white above red cover since it is the only one that I’ve read. It is $6 on Amazon.com
The book was written by a monk who tried to sense God’s presence all day everyday. At first he had very little success, but in time he experienced God’s presence all the time. It is a very simple book written by a very simple man, but its message is profound – and I believe that it is life-changing.
God bless.
