No Eating the grapes is stealing and pinching the bread can reduce the salability of that loaf causing a loss for the merchant.

Nah, I only eat grapes that I've washed myself. And I used to pinch the bread, but they kept blushing, so I stopped. =)

I squeeze bread slightly to see how fresh it is. I used to sneek a grape or two years ago, but nowadays, I learned that you should wash your fruit before you eat it, unless it comes in a can.

i wouldn't consider eating the grapes - they haven't been washed .
i squeeze the bread a little. usually i just look to see if the package has been torn or cut.
