I'm not sure exactly which of the wineries listed on this site are in the San Antonio area but there aren't many in Texas so you should find some fairly quickly. I swear by this website when I'm planning a trip to any area I've never been to before.

Messina Hof winery in Bryan/College Station is probably the largest and most fun. They have events all year round like grape stomping & wine tasting. I think they even have a murder mystery dinner theatre & wagon rides. And plenty of places to stay from expensive to inexpensive because its near A & M in College Station.

Haven't been in a couple of years, but we used to go for grape stomping festival! Very fun!

ok i only know one in Missouri it's St. James Winary they should have a website if you wanna take a road trip it could be fun
