There are tons of medication for pimples. You can go to any local drug store and pick up some over the counter medication.

There are also a few prescription medications that work really well. Retin-A cream and also Accutane capsules. You'll need to get a prescription from your doctor or dermatologist though.

I have personally used both of them because I had really bad acne and cysts. Accutane is very powerful but very good. It is very expensive though if you don't have insurance. Accutane can cause severe birth defects though, so if you are a female you need to take a pregnancy test every single month in order to get a refill. Good luck!

Let's see if I can spell this right... Calamine lotion. You can find it at any drug store. It's a pink liquid that is a bit chalky. Just spread it on your pimples before you go to bed, and in the morning if you can cover up the area with clothing (otherwise you will have a light pink film that will stand out for about an hour). You will see immediate results (1 to 2 days). I do this with my girl and I'm about to start with myself after seeing how well it has worked for her in the past 4 days.

Don't fall for that Clearasil crap or the expensive prescriptions. Wash your face before application of the lotion and in the morning.

Go to the doctor and get a RX for Viatmin A cream. Depending on your skin type (oily/dry) the Vitamin works wonders. It will dry out the pimples and kill bacteria at the same time. Warning - Your skin will turn red and somehat "peel", but this is temporary and the results are well worth it.

There are many over the counter products such as neutrogena. Ask a doctor, pharmacist or dematologist to find out more.

When I was in high school in the 70's, my doctor prescribed tetracycline to clear up my acne. My brothers took it also when they had bad acne and it seemed to work. I do not know if they still use it for that though.
