I'm talking 'road to damascus' told you, like a 'booming voice from above' told you...not a 'little voice in my heart' told you.
This is, btw, biblically precedented, albeit Old Testament

Uh, Mandy, and a few others, God instructed Isaiah to kill every man, woman, child, donkey, goat and giraffe of the philistines, and he did.

Hmmm
God telling people to murder is a sign of psychotic disorders, so I would seek a psychiatrist.
Why, has it happened to you?

The true God and Father of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, will never tell or ask anyone to kill anyone. The devil has the power of death (Heb. 2:14).
In the old testament, the sitations were quite different. The attack was on the Christ-line (ie- the descendents of Abraham= Israel). Many of the gentile nations were directly influenced by satan. They had to be eradicated. The same is not true now. Christ has come! This is the church-age. Thereare only two types of people: God's children and everybody else. God loves people (Jn.3:16) and wants everybody to be saved (I Tim.2:4).

I don't believe that God would tell us to kill anyone now, he said that as lamps we should not fight back but he gave examples in the old where he told the Israelites to kill other people. I believe that since the death of Jesus the Moses Law has passed and Mercy and Grace is now. The final events promise that followers of Christ will be persecuted in the end but it doesn't say that they will form a resistance and fight it says that Jesus will come a second time and save them and take us to heaven.

Hm, interesting question. But honestly, the Old testament is just that, Old. God in the New Testament is much more loving and merciful. I doubt he'd ever send that request my way but I'll let you know if I encounter a burning bush.

No matter what we have been told and no matter what the "good book" says, God has never told anybody, anywhere, to kill another person, for any reason. People often blame god when they CHOOSE to exhibit violent behavior. Not even in war. War is a political thing, not a spiritual thing.

well, the road to Damascus is New Testament. But anyway, this is a moot question, since God does not communicate this way any longer. So yeah, why not?

God will never tell you something against His laws. The only way God speaks to you is through His Word and He never tells anybody to kill another except in war.

I would ask God in My Spirit, "Are you God, in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Spirit?". I'm a born again Spirit filled Christian. My God is Love. Love rejoices in the Truth. It is written that I need to love God and love others. Could I rejoice in the Spirit that this intimidating voice is My God? No. It is written that God has not given me a Spirit of intimidation but one of love and sound mind.
It is Satan who is a murderer, slanderer, thief, etc. since the beginning. My God would assure to me that the voice was Satan. I would say. OK God (bible one) I submit to you and your Word revealed in the bible. I resist Satan & Satan flees.
The old testament has the law of Sin and Death (people were stoned to death). I am not under the law of sin and death. I am under grace. Jesus paid for my sin on the cross. Grace and Mercy came through Jesus. His law of Love is written in my heart.

Of course not. If I heard a booming voice in the sky telling me to go kill some person, why would I listen? I like to think for myself thanks, even if it is god, who cares? He can just kill the person himself and I'll pull the death bed repentance and be just fine. That's how religion works don't you know!!

Only if my life was in danger by the person God wanted me to kill. but id have to have some records of the person first.
If it was Jehova:
Id tell Jehova to F off because my God is Zeus Thor and some other calmer dieties. If it was Zeus and/or Thor id question his judgement and say what are you thinking? are you crazy?

No, because God wouldn't ask anything like that. If there seemed to be a voice that was asking me to kill someone, I would rebuke that voice in the name of Jesus.
