In my Question "is it ok to live in sin if you have accepted Jesus as your saviour" the response was an overwhelming NO NEVER.
Do you christians really follow this? Are there any christians here who have, for whatever reason, lived with their boyfriend/girlfriend?

In my experience, as a Christian I and others are well aware of our sins. Mine? Lying and self-gratifying egotism. Others? Sex outside of wedlock. Others? Pornography. Others? Bank robbery. Others? Murder. Others? Homosexualtiy. Others? Gossip.

This is a hard concept to grasp. It's all sin, and we all do at least one of them if not more. The word "sin" came from the measurement of distance from the dead center of a target in an archery contest. God detests any sin, or any "off-the-mark" performance. He doesn't care how far off the mark, sin is sin!

The "your sins are worse than my sins" thing has been created by men to self-justify themselves in their own eyes. It's not Biblical. It's not Christian.

The purpose of a Christian lifestyle is not to join a self-improvement program--it is to worship God as God and accept Him!

I know Christians that have lived together outside of wedlock. I also have seen the struggles that they have gone through and how their lives changed dramatically for the better when they realized their errors and made changes.

That's my experience.

the funny thing is that even though they are always pointing a finger and picking on some religion saying you have to be christian or youll go to hell (which is a sin all on its own) they also teach that jesus already died for every sin that every person on earth will ever commit so we automatically go to heaven. isnt that right there an oxymoron?which is it? the one fact is that they teach god is the ONLY one who can judge yet thats all they do and think they they are so good when in reality they sin NONSTOP.....all you have to do for any religion is wake up every day with the intent that you will do your best to do nothing to harm another in anyway and just try to be the best PERSON that you possibly can with the realization that no one is perfect

With Jesus, your sins are all forgiven....(Isaiah 1:18) "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they (your sins) are as red as crimson, they shall be as white as wool." But, we are all still sinners. With Jesus or not, it is impossible to "not sin." The reason because only Jesus was/is sinless. Jesus said to confess and REPENT. That means working so that you don't do it again. Yes, it is wrong to beleive and then sin for the fact (I am using a common argument) that it will just be forgiven anyway, because that is not REPENTING.

when we born into this world, we were born into sin but it is not ok to sin. even though it is apart of our nature, we do not have to do it. i feel that we should try to live right. i am a christian and i did hear from a lot of people that it is wrong to live with your boy/girlfriend unless you have two separate beds

Believe it or not, there are people today who do not live with boyfriends/girlfriends before marriage.

There are even people who wait till they are married to have sex.

Yes, this is really true -- even in this age of "Sex and the City" and even with society's attitude that sex is just another contact sport.

Don't let them fool you.Christians sin plenty.

Some good prosletyzing does!
Some of the biggest preachers are the biggest frauds.
Be careful what you choose to believe.

Living with them before marriage to know what its like beforehand is not sin,its practical.
