Picking up dog poop is the most disgusting thing ever. The sidewalks are nasty and you can smell dog pee in the Summer heat. If I was mayor, I would ban dogs in NYC.

Well New York can rest easy You will never be mayor! How do you know its Dog Poop? When ya boot the dogs what next? Throw out the homeless? perhaps its them peeing on the sidewalks....As a Responsible Dog owner everyone should pick up their dogs droppings when they walk them, but it doesnt always happen...Gosh..If that is your biggest problem in life then you have it good!

there's a lot worse things. It may not all be dog pee also. Or not 4 legged dogs anyway.
NYC's distaste for dogs - and horses - while at the same time playing host to (for large amounts of $) two major events at the Garden - should those be banned too? In any case...the aversion to anything alive and not human by many there was one reason I guess I didn't fit in there.

You could never be elected if you ran on that platform - there are millions of dog lovers in NYC. If you were mayor, you should ban BAD dog owners. Everyone should be picking up after their dogs! Write to the mayor and ask him to step up law enforcement in your neighborhood - there are big fines for not cleaning up after your dogs!

If you really think it's that bad try moving. with so many people in NYC, you would never be able to get rid of all the dogs, even if you tried. But I do think people should take more time to clean up after their dogs (it is not just in the city). I see countless people just leave their dogs messes, even in the middle of nowhere, that I live in. I think you are a little loony

I have to dogs, but I don't live in NYC. I don't think they should be banned, but I understand that probably since there is a lot of people around NYC most people cannot stand dogs. Sometimes I can't stand mine, but I love them.

. A good owner makes sure to pick up their dogs poop.you to at one point had to have someone change your diaper, have you ever used a public bathroom?it is horrible in some of them. what about in the country where it smells like cows and horses. what should we do about that? besides i don't think the people of NYC would allow their mayor to ban dogs! dogs are our family, sometimes the only family we have.

They should ban homeless people! They go to the bathroom in the streets and make more mess than dogs. Plus dogs are positive they help your blood pressure, cholesteral and overall health.

I don't think that would go over real well. And some of that pee isn't dogs, sorry to say.
However, the pooper scooper should be enforced with more gusto!

its not up to u who should own dogs, dogs shouldn't be ban thats like saying ur not allowed to take ur kids to the park, no one would listen, NYC just needs to enforce their fules better besides ur overreacting i was in NYC and it DID NOT smell like that. ur just overly-sensitive to smells prolly
