The garbage, or a fire. That smell is in there for life. I have yet to find something that will take the smell out, and I wouldn't want the smell lingering in the washer for other things to smell like cat pee.

I'm a big fan of Urine Gone ... you can try dousing it with that, but I think it's a lost cause. :(

There are many products out there, that claim to be able to remove the stains and smells of pet urine. Such as:
- Anti-Icky-Poo by MisterMax
- Brampton Oxy Solution
- Cat-Off by Thornell
- OdorXit
- SeaYu Petrotech Odor Eliminator
- Nature's Miracle

Baking soda. If that does not work purchase something from the pet store, if the cat smell urine it will most likely do it again.

I had a male cat who sprayed on clothing and blankets regularly, which smells almost as bad as skunk. One wash in hot with extra laundry soap took out the smell. (had to be washed soon after spraying). Did you call the dry cleaners? Good luck, I love my furballs- but they can be smelly little things ;)

I would throw it out and buy a new one. At least you will know then that there is no more smell and the cat won't try to pee on it again.

Try mixing white vinegar and baking powder into a paste and scrubbing the urine spots with it. Rinse with white vinegar, then wash.

Vinegar. I kid you not. Put the comforter in the washer with laundry soap and vinegar. I prefere to also pour vinegar right on the spot and let it soak for a few.
