Brush well first!!!!! Use a mild doggie shampoo, or good baby shampoo. RINSE WELL, or you can get a hot spot. You can use a blow dryer on the cool setting, or just towel well, let air dry and brush well again.

Yes,,brush the dog. Use doggie shampoo . don't soap the face.Use a clean wet washcloth for the face. Soap from the neck down to the tip of the tail.Wash under the arms also & between the toes. Be very sure that the water is cooler than warm.Do not bathe the dog if it is hot out side,,a rainy day is better,,because if the dog is over heated,,it will make the dog hotter & can send the dog into shock very quickly. This also goes for the garden hose,,if you spray a hot dog,,can cause shock.Do not wet a dog when its hot,,give plenty of water only & food of course if it feels like eating. We also do ears & nails @ bathtime.Ask a vet how to .Blow dryers are ok if they dont mind it but only from far away as to not burn the skin & also only if the weather is cool.

Yes, brush her before you give her a bath. It will make the shampoo(ing) easier and more effective. Use only dog shampoo...and make sure you rinse her off well. It's OK to use a blow dryer, but a Golden's coat is slightly waterproof, so I don't think blow drying will be necessary.

Always good to brush before baths. A good shampoo if you do not want to spend the extra dollars for dog specific stuff is Johnson & Johnson baby shampoo (no tears kind) or any one of the store brand type of the baby shampoo's. Our dog loves the blow dryer, just make sure your dog likes it and keep it moving and keep it at a safe distance from their skin.

Brush her before you give her a bath to remove lose hair or it will tangle really bad. Your local pet store should have lots of shampoos to choose from, you don't want to dry her skin out by using people shampoo. I think it is ok to use a blow dryer in the winter when it is cold but in the winter I would just towl dry her as good as you can and let her run around, she will be dry in no time.

Brush first, use dog shampoo and blow dryer is ok on lower setting. A dog groomer told me that using a blow dryer helps to keep the dog from shedding.

It wouldn't hurt to brush her before a bath, just to get rid of any tangles she may have.
There are certain shampoos for dogs sold at petstores, just look at them and find the one that seems to suit your dog the best.
A blow dryer is acceptable, IF your dog isn't afraid of it, which many dogs are.
Towels are the safest thing, because I have yet to encounter one that disliked that part. Most dogs love being rubbed down.

Well, use a shampoo designed for dogs. Try brushing her one time you bathe and then don't brush the next time and see if you note any difference. As for the blowdryer she will let you know if it is okay or not. Some dogs like and some dogs the sound scares the crap out of them.

First, you have to take the dog to a bath and use doggie shampoo then, you brush the dog, next you blow dry your dog so your dog will be dry.
