We were just discussing this at a family meal the other night. It's interesting to say, WHAT IF the government knew it could be spread that way and didn't tell us. That would be scary.

I believe the chemical process that happens in a mosquito has to do with passing on malaria and similar type things. I've been told the chemical process in the mosquito kills any chance of passing HIV. I sure hope that is true!!

The government is using fish to eat mosquito larvae to slow the spread of West Nile Virus.

No. Mosquitos carry West Nile Virus and Denghe Fever. That is why the government is worried about the mosquito population.
They do not transmit HIV.

although mosquitos do carry the diseases like malaria and a few dozen others. you have to remember that once a squito is loaded with blood there of to make babies, remember science class. oh yes, it's only the females that suck your blood. and besides you eat wieners,Bologna,processed meats. i wouldn't worry bout the little fishy eating a possibly infected with HIV larva of a mosquito.
