why do people get so offended when you ask religious questions on here? who said im judging or saying i'm right just because i ask. it seems to me,(and this is me judging now) that you would not be so upset if you were confident that you were right. its possible that you question yourself if you are so emotional about a subject you seem to be so sure about.

WHEN you are STANDING on the ROCK, it's hard to get upset and it's hard to get knocked-down. If you build your house( the mental happening's inside of your mind's(you have two)), on sinking sand, the flood will take you out.

People ask questions, and it is quite evident from their questions what their intent is. People can still get upset and be right about something, even when they are confident. For instance, I know I am correct about 9/11 occurring. Let's say in 20 years someone comes up to me and says, "Who cares? That stuff never happened!" I would be slightly upset over this. Yet I am confident that I am correct. What that question you asked does is delve into personalities-as-proof. Like, you wouldn't act this way if it was true. When really this is not always the case. Don't look for abstract, unrelated answers to questions. Deal with facts. :)

Most people get offended I guess, because it's like offending their emotions and personal beliefs.
Talking about government, politics, and religion those are subjects that will always start a conflict.
I have had many problems with my religion with other people that don't accept my personal beliefs. I mention problems, because they are the ones that always criticize my, but since I don't want to start any conflicts and I just ignore them they are the ones that get offended I don't follow their game.

The only thing that ever offends me is when people aren't respectful! Like the jerk that was going off on JWs in a very mean spirited and disrespectful way.... Or the one that said something to the effect all the muslims should be killed. That's just horrible!

I'm only offended when people start to fight on here. Religion is about love, not hate--and no matter what an individual believes, he should remember that others have the same right to believe in the they feel is appropriate for them.

This also goes for those who gang up on atheists--some of them are good people--kind, helpful, moral--we should respect the good qualities in individuals--and not judge people by "groups."

YEAH....so what were we fighting about again. I'm Playing, people take this yahoo questions and answer to seriously. When I see a religious question I answer as best I can and I keep it simple. You have some people on here using this as a way to get people to listen to them becasue maybe face to face they typiclly get blown off. They jump at the chance to shove religious BS down some one's throat instead of just saying, Yes I belive in God and I think Co-habitaion is wrong, or I believe in abstinece. That last sentence isn't offensive to anyone because it's my beliefs, I'm not on here preaching at you telling you what to do and how to do it. I don't know you. Peole get on here and start giving out so-called advice like they are your best freind or your parents. Basically it's just like that one kid in class that always had something to say, you just tune it out. Same rules apply here unfortunately there are stupid people everywhere.

People get offended because these are questions they themselves would have liked to ask, but have suppressed out of fear. Somebody else snatching this privilege, and seem to get away with it is intolerable. As you rightly said, those who are confident, would gladly help with answers to ANY question, and in doing so, would help sincere askers to become truly religious.

People asking religious questions does not offend me. Sometimes, because I know I have the truth, I get over zealous in sharing it. I want everyone to have the awesome gift I've got!!!! ;)

Is it the religious zealots who are offended? i believe people who have secret nagging questions about their beliefs would naturally be upset. Don't upset the apple cart!
