It depends on the bishop, and on what denomination. When I was confirmed in the Episcopal Church (as an adult), the bishop met with the confirmands (as a group) before the service began for about an hour. The questions he concentrated on were taken directly from the prayer book, but he also reminded us that we would be reaffirming our baptismal vows. Both sets of questions are below.

The baptisimal vows:
Do you renounce Satan and all the spiritual forces of wickedness that rebel against God?
Do you renounce the evil powers of this world which corrupt and destroy the creatures of God?
Do you renounce all sinful desires that draw you from the love of God?
Do you turn to Jesus Christ and accept him as your Savior?
Do you put your whole trust in his grace and love?
Do you promise to follow and obey him as your Lord?

And the questions asked of confirmands:
Will you continue in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers?
Will you persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?
Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?
Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?
Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?

It has been my privlege to sponsor several confirmands since then, and our current bishop still meets with them prior to the service, but tends to focus on the Catechism.

It won't be like an interview or anything. The bishop just asked me what saint I chose. Congrats on being confirmed! Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions.

None. The bishops pick on the boys because 3/4 of them don't know anything.

He will ask you about your confirmation name, he will ask you if you accept Christ as your savior. He will ask you about the sacraments, such as the sacrament of baptism, communion, confirmation, marriage, anointment of the sick/death. It is really not that hard, all the candidates are very nervous about it, but he will be really easy on you- he knows that you will be nervous. There is really no failing, so just go with it and enjoy the day.

He will ask very easy questions, the answer will be your Saint's name, and for the other questions, you'll only have to answer "yes" to them.

i just remember him asking me if i was ready to accept the holy spirit, and why i chose st. ann.
nothing hard.
if you paid attention in ccd there's nothing he'll ask that you can't answer. he doesn't want you to look foolish, that's not his intention.

If you pledge yourself to the Church
If you promise to always believe in Jesus and His gift
If you will always do everything in your power to stop sin....stuff like that....Congradulations and God bless!
