why aren't you with him still? because is it really worth it and maybe getting hurt again or realizing you didnn't really want to get back with him, and you like just the fact of having a boyfriend? but if you both of you really are still wanting to be together then try talking to him and telling you feeling. i know cliche, but it's a quick and simple way of getting the point out.

it will be tough especially if your breakup was really hard on him. Just start chatting with him again and see how it goes. If he still likes you and his feelings are still there, then you are in luck as you will have a chance to be with him again. Else, move on and find some other guy
