The video on the youtube is of different format which can't be recognised by Windows Media Player. You need FLV player (Flash Video Player) to view the videos from youtube.com.

the picture and audio can get choppy because your dial-up connection isn't fast enough to keep up with the information you are downloading.

sometimes a really slow computer will also cause choppy audio and video playback, but if you can play video cd's o.k., that shouldn't be your problem.

anytime you want to watch video over the internet, always look to see if there is a choice for "dial-up modem", and use that with your dial-up connection... sometimes you won't be able to choose, but it's done automatically for you.

the tradeoff between "dial-up" and "cable/dsl" choices is that the latter should always give you better audio and video quality, with little or no choppy playback.

With dialup you might as well forget about it. The only way for you to watch video is to find a web site that lets you download the actual video file to your computer's hard drive, then play it. For copyright reasons, most web sites don't do that any more.

try clean the internet web site or... turn off internet accelerator, once you've one - it should be conflicting with youtube. or.. it ought to correctly be via sluggish connection or intense site visitors. try gazing it throughout the time of off height hours, the video will be smoother. or you need to observe it offline easily... try utilising 'zillatube' . it truly works properly - in simple terms google search for "zillatube" to get it. ==========================???
