My son is the same way and it is great. I wouldn't give him soda though there is nothing good for him in it. Milk and water are great very healthy choices. Unfortunately it isn't normal because I think people think they have to give their kids juice and soda all the time, so that is what their kids want.

Keep of the good work. A multivitamin is really not needed for a 3 year old as long as they are eating fruits and veggies (juice even 100% doesn't provide much nutrition) they are getting enough of the good stuff and wouldn't need a supplement.

I actually can't believe that people would actually suggest you get your child to drink juice there really isn't anything good in it. Talk to your doctor I am sure he/she will commend you on a job well done, I know my doctor does.

Enjoy!

My son is 20 months, and we have had him on a multi-vitamin since he was six months old! Our pediatrician recommended it since we were nursing, but she encourages it for all babies, toddlers, and childrenl, because it is just added insurance that your child is getting enough of the vitamins he needs to grow up healthy. Also, even though I eat healthy, I still take a multi-vitamin, so why shouldn't my child? Talk to your doc about a multi-vitamin, just to make sure.
About your child drinking only milk and water, be thankful. Juice is terrible for a child (for the most part) because it is full of empty calories and sugar, and it has none of the fiber of real fruit. Often, it has added ingredients that are actually proven unhealthy in rats. We only give my son a bit of organic juice daily, which doesn't have the ingredient (I can't remember the name of it right now). I would just encourage my child to eat fresh fruits and veggies, and he would get the valuable vitamins and nutrients, as well as fiber.

My daughter will be 4 in August and I still can't get her to even touch juice. Water and Milk ONLY. Especially milk. I think it's okay. as long as he's eating good and getting plenty of fluids it's fine. Of course you should encourage him to drink water as much as possible. (Even the kind flavored with fruit) because even that is much better than soda.

It's fine. My child is almost 2, and she only drinks milk, water, and no more than 4 oz of juice each day. Juice isn't necessary, as long as he gets enough fruits during the day.

If he likes water than don't give him juice. It is just added sugar and calories he does not need. He should get all the vitamins and stuff he needs from vegetables and fruit. Congratulations on raising a healthy child

I hope he eats solid food and you are referring only to the liquid part.
Do not encourage him to drink sodas, or juices. It is perfect that he drinks water and milk. Juices are too sweet. But you can try to mix water with natural juice, appropriate for kids.

my kids usually only drink water and milk. there is no need for him to be drinking juice if he is eating a well balanced diet. if anything the more juice he drinks the more likely he is to have problems with his teeth if he is not taking proper care of them. Milk and water is perfectly healthy

you could, but since water is the best thing for anybody, then i don't see any problem with no juice.. i have a 2 year old who won't drink water, so we give her juice. it's hard with kids these.. every body always second guesses what is best for their own kids.. now who is the parent?

Water is actually best. Juice is good if it's 100% juice. Kids that age dont need milk..they need healthy foods.
