13-15 years, my husband says. He raised and showed them for many years. It will depend on the genetics of the dog that you have, of course. Always good practice to ask the breeder (if you are getting one from a breeder) how long the puppy's family line usually lives.

your all wrong a pit bull can only live up to an average lifespan between 7-9 due to many heart problems in bigger dogs but if taken well of then maybe 10-11 but thats it

They should live 12-15 years if treated humanely and taken care of. But alot of people who own Pit Bulls don't care about them and don't have them fixed, or vaccinated and then they die early of disease.

If you treat the dog well, with regular vet checks and care, then they should live to 10 - 14 years depending on genetics.

It largely depends on the care the dog gets. You know premium food , regular vet care, dental care. They say average is 12-14 years.
