No! But there is medicine made out of a tree bark which treats digestive problems. Its not food, its medicine depending on the tree. You can try eating an Apple, which they say is a bark!

Chewing on the bark of the willow tree, or boiling it in water and drinking the "tea" has long been a Native American remedy to relieve pain (like taking aspirin).
The human digestive system does not break down such tough fibers well, and most of it will pass through the system, but you can benefit from the nutrients and chemicals within.

You can eat certain kinds of tree bark (cinnamon spice is made from the bark of a tree) but it's not very nutritious.

not all the tree barks. some of them have medicinal values.ayurvedic doctors use them . cinnaman is a tree bark which we use as spice.

You'd be surprised how often we do. Cinnamon is tree bark, so is natural aspirin. Sometimes it's good for you, sometimes not so much. What kind of tree is making you hungry?
