Hi, I have found that the best way is to keep eating the foods you like, but in smaller portions. Try avoiding deep fat fried food as it is soaked in calories, but do try eating healthier but dont give up on all your food, if you feel that something is a bit more in calories, then reduce your intake of this.

Drinking lots of water will also help. Before you start a meal have a large glass of water and try to drink another atleast through the meal. This will help fill you up and also you will be taking your recommended amount of water too.

Hope it helps

honestly?

Tone. Whilst your watching Eastenders or Desperate Housewives, do 50 sit ups (takes 5 mins).

Run. Get an ipod and go to your nearest park. Run around it - once / twice, depending how big it is. (can only last 20mins sometimes) - but make sure you do it at-least once a week.

... then, increase or decrease how much you do, based on how much you eat ( though, to be honest, i guarantee your appetite will reduce when you start running - mine did!)

Seriously - its so simple its criminal. The hard part is leaving the front door, but once you are out, just keep saying to yourself "Whats the rush?" - i mean, what would you be doing if you were not jogging? - watching the TV? eating? enjoy being out in the fresh air, doing something FOR YOU. There is nothing more satisfying.

Plus, if you start to struggle, just repeat, "this is my Everest. This is my Everest" ;) your goal weight should be the peak. (and you never know, you might enjoy it so much, you'll keep doing it and get other people too, like i did )

I hope this helps- Ive more, but there isn't really alot of space. E-mail me if you need any more help :)

p.s. the motivation comes from how you feel after you have done the running, whilst your standing in the shower. Enjoy :)

The only way to lose weight is to cut calories and up the exercise.
Eat anything you want but in moderation. As you exercise, you will see results and then make healthier food choices and naturally not want to put any food into your body that will take X amount of time to exercise off before you can tackle what you already have.

Eat more in the Morning and less at night. Do not go over 1,000 calories per day and cut out sugar and cheese and white bread from your diet. Do not eat grapes, carrots, peas, beans, or corn as they are high in calories. Do not drink fruit juices-they contain too many calories. Take a vitamin instead and only eat one fruit a day. Exercise for at least 30 minutes everyday. Ensure that 30 percent of your caloric intake contains protein.

Walk two-three miles a day.
Drink a 'Slim fast' before you go eating out. You will not attack Hour Devouers and Antre so strongly if your belly is half full. and it is only 220 calories...that might keep you from gluttening on 500-750 extra calories.
Always eat before you go grocery shopping that way your mind won't force you to buy a lot of extra fatty foods which you later feel obliged to eat.

just keep eating...but get enough exercise that you are burning off all that you eat. If you eat a ton of food....exercise a ton.

I eat 6000+ calories a day when in Ironman training...and i don't gain a pound....but I work out 20+ hours a week. Its all just balance.

If you don't like exercising, but you wanna keep eating....well, you are gonna get fat. That's just how it is. There is no way around it.

Exercise and healthy eating are the only sure ways to remain fit and maintain a healthy body mass.

Don't start on the diet treadmill as it will mess up your body's metabolism (that's how your body deals with food). If you're worried about your health and what you look like, read the following carefully and think about what you want and why you want it. Is it to fit in or is it because you want to be healthy (not thin as thin isn't automatically healthy). Don't diet just because you think you should match up to some impossible to achieve ideal peddled by the media.

There is no such thing as a safe quick weight loss. Diets and diet pills don't work they just act on the pituitary gland and make you lose water. Diets make the body lose water not fat (water loss means weight loss). It's good to exercise or run about and have fun as anything which raises your pulse and makes you sweat is good. If you don't eat enough the body goes into "famine" mode if it doesn't get enough norishment (ie, it thinks it's being starved) and stores anything it does get as fat, rather than glucose (glucose is a form of sugar which is what every cell in your body uses for energy). Every cell in your body respires (this is like breathing - good stuff goes in and bad goes out) and this uses energy, ie, food. Without enough energy, your metabolism slows and food is stored as fat. If the body thinks it's being starved it will begin to break down muscles as muscles require more energy to maintain than fat so dieting may make you lose weight but it's the wrong kind of weight. Why do you think you need to lose weight - has someone said something or is it because you feel unhealthy - do you really need to lose the weight? The only thing guaranteed to get a body healthy (note I don't say "lose weight") is to exercise and eat a healthy, balanced, wide variety of foods plus the occasional treat in moderation (this stops any food becoming "naughty" and therefore craved). Please note that body muscles weigh four times more than body fat because the fibres are so much closer together. Some fat is important on the body as it helps regulate hormonal levels in the body and prevents osteoporosis and other bone wasting diseases in later life. Some fat is important on women as too little can cause periods to stop and bring about fertility problems. Females are made differently to males and a totally flat stomach and no hips isn't healthy on a woman. The question to ask yourself is - how do you look in a mirror - not how much do you weigh. If you think you look untoned, then include some excercise using light weights (low weight, lifted lots of times) into your life.

I have friends who have taken up Pilates and although they never lost weight, their clothes looked fantastic on them, their posture improved and their entire bodies firmed up. I watched this happen. Pilates strengthens your core muscles (the ones that hold your skeleton in place) which makes you stand properly which makes you look slimmer. I believe that yoga also does this although I don't know anyone who has done this. Additionally, try dance (old style ballroom / salsa) as this is a fun way to tone up. Any excercise / activity that raises your heart rate and makes you sweat BUT IS FUN will ensure you stick to it and get fitter.

Additionally, drink lots of water. Lots of people eat when they are in fact thirsty. If you feel hungry, drink a glass of water first and if you're still hungry half an hour later, then eat. Eat sensibly and regularly and don't forget to eat breakfast (so named because it "breaks" the night's "fast"). Missing breakfast starts the day off badly as your body will just crave and store anything you eat later as fat. Try to avoid having too many fizzy, sugar filled drinks or a lot of fried (especially deep fried) foods. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Try not to have too many take away meals (they have lots of hidden salt, sugar and fat) and learn to make and eat proper home cooked meals. Don't cut any "naughty" foods out completely, just cut down to one or two a month as otherwise you'll want them all the time. Eventually, you'll stop wanting to eat junk food.

Hope this helps.

You can't 'loose' weight, but if you switch to lower calorie foods, you can definitely 'lose' a few pounds.

If your serious about it, then get on a program. Weight watchers worked for me. Its all based on a system of points. I'd reccomend it to anyone. Just have to have the will power.
