Well, if someone has really been a true christian, and loved everyone, and treated everyone as they would want to be, then they have nothing to worry about.
It's the "christians" who preach hate and bigotry, discrimination and homophobia, and "ours is the only true way" that have some 'splainin' to do . . . and fast . . . .

i thought buddhists believed in reincarnation?
wouldn't that lend the thought that the "pearly gates" of heaven are a very Christianized thought process. what about those that believe that it will instead become heaven on earth (restorative) or what about those that don't believe at all in life after death or what about any number of other beliefs.
If corpses can't be raised, then Christ wasn't, because he was indeed dead. And if Christ weren't raised, then all you're doing is wandering about in the dark, as lost as ever. It's even worse for those who died hoping in Christ and resurrection, because they're already in their graves. If all we get out of Christ is a little inspiration for a few short years, we're a pretty sorry lot. But the truth is that Christ has been raised up, the first in a long legacy of those who are going to leave the cemeteries.

Wow, tricky question! - Simply put: If Buddah is at the 'pearly gates' than that would mean there's not a religion yet 'invented' that would get you there to meet him. To follow the path of Buddism to its 'ultimate end' is to remove all desire from ones life until there is nothing left and you yourself become 'nothing'. There is no heaven and no 'after-life' according to Buddism.
If what you are asking is: "What if the bible is not the word of God / truth". Then, for Christians, it would mean that what they belive is a total sham, and it would be a waste of life to follow such beliefs. The same would go for Jews and Muslims (Jews are still waiting for the Messiah to come, and Muslims have no claim to heaven if the Bible is false).
For those who do not believe in God, their only hope is that they are correct - of course, if there is no God, then none of us have anything to worry about. No consequences and no hell means we are free to do whatever we want to do and believe whatever we want to believe.

I will greet him and keep on moving in. I would also wonder why a good person as Buddha is at the gate not inside heaven!??!

For real where in the bible does God promise heaven to anyone. He does however promise earth to his elect.
Re 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Re 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Treat everyone the way you wish to be treated, without expecting anything in return, just be a good person in this life and I don't think it will matter WHO is at the pearly gates.

Actually, according to Buddhism, we wouldn't be in any trouble at all, nor would we be at pearly gates, but rather reincarnated, so no punishment is really given out.

If by some chance it were a different deity, I would hope that a life well-lived would earn me clemency. I am a firm believer in Christ and have no backup plan other than (like I said) living life in a respectable way.

It won't be, so I don't have to worry. Is there a heaven in Buddhism or even pearly gates. I don't think so. I will meet Jesus there.

There is no u ("you") in Nirvana, nor would there be pearly gates, and your likely destination would be reincarnation, by which point it's too late to reconsider, you've already forgotten what you were on about.
