I want my actual HAIR to be shiny, not put on some silicon stuff that shines. How can I improve my hair so it will shine?

Btw, my nationality: I am caucasian, but my hair is black because I am descended from Black Irish, Cherokee, Russian/Polish Jewish. I have very white skin and very black hair. Which used to be shiny. :-(

Take prenatal vitamins everyday and eat gelatin (Jello) and enough healthy oils in your diet such as peanut butter and olive oil. You have to condition your hair enough and don't over process your hair. Get it trimmed regularly. You didnt say what nationality you are--that makes a difference in what you do to your hair to make it shine.

Bedhead makes two products that I've found to be wonderful. Girl toys is a serum that will give your hair a whole lot of shine, and it's really light so it won't wear your hair down, which is a big plus for me since I have very fine hair.
Another is called Shine Junkie. This one is a non oily cream, if you will, that will not only give you shine but it will also help with split ends and dry hair. It's a little heavier than the Girl Toys, but if I've just had my hair colored, I've found that this actually helps that dry feeling. Same thing with this one, a little goes a long way.
You can normally get the products from a salon in the mall, like Toni and Guy or Trade Secret. Of course, you can also order them online.
Oh, and they may seem a little pricey but it's not too bad when you consider how long it will last you.

rinse with cold water for a minute ot two after you've shampooed and rinsed out the soap, then blow dry it down the hair shaft. This will cause the follicle to lie down and create a shiny surface. Also in the hair color aisle there are now shine enhancers by Natural Instincts. I've never tried them, but they may work.

try blowdrying it smooth and maybe some straighteners although the heat can damage your hair. Maybe try some shampoos for shiny hair, that way it will not leave a residue. Also remember to use a good natural bristle brush to help make your hair healthy and shiny and don't wash too often.

Try shampooing using Alterna Shampoos and conditioners! They are the top of the line salon products and are more natural for your hair. They work from below the scalp making the new growth better and healthier, thus leaving that healthy glow and softness! These products are more costly but a very little(pea size to dime size) amount goes a long way! you can purchase it here or at your local salon. http://www.hemphappy.com/?src=overture

I would say to do an olive oil treatment at least once a week. Olive oil really moisturizes the scalp. Also you should use jojoba oil daily. Put the jojoba oil on your scalp and then comb through to the ends. But use 100% pure jojoba oil, which you can get at any vitamin store, or natural food store

My husband and I found products for our hair that are really good. He had hair loss and I had a dry scalp. We used some new products that are natural and do not have any chemicals. You could find it on their web: arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com and they have shampoos and conditioners that give you good looking hair... you could enhance hair’s shine and manageability with their super-hydrating shampoo that adjusts to the daily, changing needs of all hair types. and condition your hair daily with an ultra-beneficial conditioning formula that gets to the root of dryness to condition both hair and scalp for beautiful, healthy results. Try it, thay have a 45 day money back guarantee, and it really works....

Majority of products contain silicones now. I suggest that you treat your hair once a week to a mayo, egg and olive oil treatment. You can but this treatment at a drugstore. It is usually displayed where African-American hair products are displayed.

I talked about your previous question about stupid solutions. So i appeared by your questions. i don't think of there's a way you may have brilliant hair with out utilising chemical products. i wager to commence off with you've sparkling hair and hair which couldn't oily. I actually don't have any clue quite yet it really is how i make my hair brilliant. in case you ask your hairdresser she would grant you with a hand.

change shampoos. u might have used yours for so long that it has started to leave residue. then wash your hair lather and rinse but don't repeat. rinse thoroughly and blow dry in a down ward direction after applying a small amount of hair gloss. or instead of hair golls try a hot oil treatment it rinses out so it won't weigh your hair down, and it will make it healthier
