My fiancee and I are getting married in a year, but we don't have a song. Can anyone suggest a good song for us to dance at our wedding? Nothing too cheesy please! lol

Completely depends on what type of music you like. If you're into country at all, my husband and I used "It's Your Love" by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill.

I can't think of the correct shortened title, but I would call it "I've Had the Time of My Life." I know it it on the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. It is a great duet that is more upbeat than other possible "first dance" songs.

I've also been to two weddings in the last year that used swing music as their first dance. In each case, the bride and groom had taken swing lessons before the wedding. It was fun and upbeat and really set an active tone for the reception.

My sister just got married June 3rd...She played Plan on Forever..By Sue Ann Carwell and Mervyn Warren. You can find the song on etomi. Also the Lyrics on most places you go to look up lyrics. It is a real nice song...It was in the movie The Wedding Planner. The only thing is I liked it so much...it kept playing over and over in my head for two week after she married.
Congratulation!

Well it all depends on how you met and the history you have with one another. Most wedding songs are chosen because they have a special meaning and tell a story about the couple.

We used "Annie`s Song" by John Denver. Of course, the husband is long gone now but the wedding was nice. A friend of mine played guitar and sang it.

We got married in Vegas and instead of the Wedding March down the aisle, I had them play "All I ask of you" from Phantom of the Opera. Really beautiful lyrics.

Songbird by Eva Cassidy

Songbird
(Christine McVie)

For you there'll be no crying
For you the sun will be shining
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's all right I know it's right

And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you I love you I love you
Like never before

To you I would give the world
To you I'd never be cold
'Cause I feel that when I'm with you
It's all right I know it's right

And the songbirds keep singing
Like they know the score
And I love you I love you I love you
Like never before Like never before

Like never before

Hey, I got married 10 years ago and used "Love of a lifetime" by Firehouse. It's great and not corny at all. Check it out! Good luck!

You by Jesse Powell
I've finally found the nerve to say
I'm gonna make a change in my life starting here today
I surrender all my love, I never thought I could
I'm giving all my love away and there's only one reason that I would...
And baby it's you
The way you walk
The way you talk
The way you say my name, your smile
The way you move me
The way you soothe me
The way you sleep softly through the night
Every morning you rise, and open your eyes
I just wanna be there with you baby
I just wanna be yours, from this day forth
Next year lets call this day our Anniversary
The day I put my heart in your hands and said that it was yours to keep
From this moment on say that you'll always be mine
'Cause girl when I'm alone with you there's only one thing that's on my mind...
And baby it's you
The way you walk
The way you talk
The way you say my name, your smile
The way you move me
The way you soothe me
The way you sleep softly through the night
Every morning you rise, and open your eyes
I just wanna be there with you baby
Just wanna be yours, from this day forth
