At her age it is a little more dangerous to have chicken pox, so I would be careful about that fact, but as long as the sore is not on the inside of her eyelid, I wouldn't be miserably concerned. Make sure you wash things like pillow cases and blankets after the illness has passed so it doesn't spread anymore.

Go to the doctor or go to the ER. NOW. Chicken Pox in adults has the potential to cause permanent blindness wherever it is located. It does worry me that it is located on her eyelid. As I am not a doctor, I can't tell you for sure. Also, if you have any other kids that have not had it, keep them around her so that they do get it while they are young.
TO ANYONE- if you have younger kids that have not yet had it, keep them with children who ARE having the outbreak so that your child does get it. It is a lot easier on the body if it is recived as a child.

Keep watching for signs and symptoms of infection on the eye lid such as redness, swelling (to poitn of pain or not being able to see), discharge from the eye or near the eye. Usually that will resolve itself in given time, but your child's physician may be able to prescribe some sort of ointment or pill to ease the pain or speed up recovery. If no physician, you can usually go to a minor emergency clinic. But, as you stated in your question by just being on the eyelid, no reason for concerns unless infection occurs.

best bet is to ask her doctor, but I had a "full" case (covered head to toe) when I was 13....in my hair, on my eye lids, inside my ears, mouth and nose...you name it I had chicken pox there. The only problems I had afterwards were what the doctor called pox craters...I get nose bleeds very easy now, and when I sneeze I can make my throat bleed from the "release".

I would call the doctor just for some reassurance. It may be fine as long as she doesn't scratch it, but that is a delicate area, so yeah, as a Mom who calls the doctor for things such as this, I would call them. They probably have a triage nurse who can get right back to you.

No need to be concerned. To be on the safe side, call the md and explain the exact location.

If you want some reassurance, call the doctor. But I don't think it would be a big deal as long as she leaves it alone. My sister had them in strange places like her tongue and she came out of it fine.

No, just don't let her scratch them, they leave really bad scars if they're scratched. I have scars where I scratched mine. Get Benadryl itch relief, it works really good.
