If you do believe that a different subject is more interesting, then why do you spend your time in the religion and spirituality section of Yahoo Answers?

I'm very interested in studying religion from psychological and ethological point of view.

It's the first day I'm in this section and I could say the questions and answers are mildly amusing. Some are fun, but there's nothing really new.

It would be very interesting for me if I could see some personal data on the askers/answerers. Age is #1, of course. Education and religious background in childhood would also be interesting.

I am not an atheist, more of an agnostic, so in true agnostic form I will say, "I don't know if there is a more interesting subject than religion and I don't know if proof exists." :-)

In all seriousness however, religion is one of the more interesting and has my vote as one of the most controversial subjects and is right up there with politics for being the catalyst for wars, death and destruction throughout recorded time.

Yes I would agree because religion could mean a lot of things so I would think it is interesting to discover different religions. Almost all religions are way different.

I agree that there are few things as interesting as religion.

If there was a man whose actions shaped history, whose power stretched across continents, who had the power to change the very direction that the human race proceeds in and we found out that his advisor in every matter was a genie that he kept in a bottle under his bathroom sink we would think that he was a madman.

If our parents told us that the decisions they made that shaped our lives were affected by the whims of a genie who lived in a bottle under the bathroom sink we would question our very roots.

This is, at its essence, what religion is. People are letting genies dictate their actions. That's capital-A Amazing.

As an agnostic I agree the topic of history of the different religious mythologies is interesting as part of my overall study of the world. And the most interesting certainly. Part of the study is the textual criticism of the Bible and the Qu'ran.

Whilst I do find religion fascinating, I think it depends on how I'm feeling. Personally I find religion so interesting, because I don't understand it. However I also find it alarming that religious groups are gaining so much power.

Atheists, would you agree that there is no subject more interesting than religion? How Absurd!

Their Lord searches for them, calls to them
to bring them close to Him.
So the Holy People should join together and enter.............."

Not really. I would consider the topic of God more interesting than religion, and the world cup football more interesting than God, for the now.
