In Myrtle Beach, it's probably the old Pavilion which, sadly, is being torn down this year after the season is over. Nearby, however is the city of Charleston, which oozes history. I don't know that I could pick just one place, but if I had to, I'd probably say Fort Sumter, where the American Civil War began.

I live on the river Medway in Kent. The whole area has historical interest. This is where Charles Dickens lived. The dockyard built some of the most famous ships in the world. When the Romans invaded britain(successfully) the second time, one of the sites of the bloodiest battles is here. The prison hulks used to moor in the river with about 600 prisoners on each ship. The french prisoners of war were buried on the islands in the river.

I live in Coventry, UK. The place most likely to be considered of the highest historical value is Coventry Cathedral. The old cathedral is now just a shell, as it was heavily bombed during the second world war. Next to it stands the new Coventry Cathedral, designed by Sir Basil Spence and built in the late 1950's.

When I'm not in China as now, I live near Swanage, Dorset, England, and the next village is named after the castle which dominates it and has the reputation of being the most visited National Trust monument. Originally built by the Normans, it was sacked during the English civil war in 1643, so now stands as a picturesque ruin and costs 6 pounds to get in.

Less than 30 minutes East of Indianapolis is the home of the KKK. Things haven't changed much since back then. The people are rude, crude, and toothless.
