USUALLY IT'S UP TO THE DATER OR THE WIDOW/GUY WHO LOST SOMEONE, USUALLY PEOPLE TAKE 1 - 2 YEARS, 2 YEARS BEING THE STRONGEST - TO MOVE OWN - WHEN A LOVED ONE/WIFE PASSES AWAY ESPECIALLY WHEN A CHILD OR CHILDREN ARE INVOLVED.

I dont believe there is a time after a divorce. Whatever seems appropriate for your situation. People will judge you no matter what.
As far as death of a spouse, I believe for men its a shorter time, especially if there are children, perhaps a year. For women i believe its anywhere from a year to two years. Age, children, manner of death, all those things play a factor.
I dont think there is any true time span, since most things these days arent based on whats 'proper'.

That is a tough question. The answer to that question depends on the person who just divorced/separated or whose spouse died. Time is needed for grieving, and a person most certainly should not seek comfort during this time from a complete stranger. A "love" interest could easily develop between the person who just lost a loved one and the person doing the consoling. This "love" is based on the wrong things and that relationship will most likely end horribly and abruptly. Instead, the hurting person should seek comfort in family members and very close friends. Search yourself for the time in which you are willing to begin dating again and ask your family (not close friends) if they think you are ready. Remember, your family cares even when they don't seem too, and they will most likely give you the best advise.

I started dating about 6 months after I split up with my husband. After a death it can be different times foe everyone, there are no set rules, you have to do what feels right for you. I have known people who lost a spouse and were dating within a matter of weeks so I guess you just have to follow your own heart on that one.

Depending of the out come of the the seperation or divorce only time will tell. Though find out who you are first without that other person. Get rid of any negative thoughts of that person and find peace within yourself and look at life in a brand new way. Find happiness with yourself before you bring someone else in the picture.

After a separation or divorce.. ... I guess that depends on when you feel comfortable with it yourself because of the situation that caused the separation or divorce. I feel that after death would also depend on the individual circumstances, but I think most people would wait a while out of respect to the deceased one.

Just whenever you feel comfortable. I would say a couple of months after a divorce would be reasonable, after a death I would have to say at least a year.

Only you know what you feel and you should not worry what anyone thinks. divorce and death are very hard things to deal with all by themselves. my opinion is the quicker you get on your feet and move forward the less painfil depression you will have but that is only when you yourself are ready.

When you feel ready. Its an individual time. Just like we all heal from a cut individually we all heal emotionally individually. Its all in when you are reeady to open your heart and let some one in.
