Scale isn't a measurement, it's a ratio. So if your model at 1/32 scale is 2 inches long, the original item is 2*32 or 64 inches long, which is 5 feet 4 inches.

Do the same math for 1/64.

This comes in handy on maps also, where the scale can be 1 inch to 1 mile, 100 miles, or more. You can measure on the map how may inches and then just multiply.

1/32 scale means that 32 feet on the real thing would be 1 foot on the model; 32 inches on the real thing would be 1 inch on the model and so on.

1/64 (or 1:64) is the same principle and half the size of a 1/32 model, so 32 feet would be 6 inches at that scale and 32 inches would be half an inch.

Well, if the object in question is 8 ft, then it would be 1/4 ft. long; just take the original size and devide that by 32!...1/16 scale is better.
