I wash my hair other day like my mom said to do (she's a hair stylist)
but my hair just hangs there

Do you blow dry it? if so don't press it after doing so or don't blow dry it just let it drip dry then it will be poofy

No, don't wash it every day it will make it more greasy looking. Listen to your mom, wash every other day, you have to train your hair to keep your hair clean, it sounds funny but b/c our hair has natural oils in it, those oils can actually keep your hair clean, and if you wash it too much those oils start to not work anymore or work over time.
Also when you are blow drying it try blow drying your hair upside down and also use a round bristle brush (helps add volume).
Or even use a big curling iron to give some bounce and life to your hair.
Also be careful what shampoo and conditioner you're using, make sure it's one that says for limp hair or to add volume. All brands make at least one of these kinds.

I usuall wash my hair every other day. Is your hair thin? If so, after washing it...use a hair thickening gel or mousse. Then blow dry upside down and then use a round brush on it while blow drying it. Makes your hair look full. Good luck!

Maybe the product you are using is too heavy for your hair. I have very fine hair, and so I use product that don't weigh my hair down. I also have to wash it every day or it gets oily.

Try getting you hair clipped into layers, followed by a volumizing Shampoo and conditioner. stay away from oils they leave the hair to limp.

if you have oily hair yes you need to wash it everyday ...the oil will weigh the hair down ....causeing i to be flat looking and limp....use a volumizing foam.....extra control...also blow dry your hair upside down underneath the hair to give you fullness

Yes wash it everyday and if u use conditioner, don't use it on your scalp..

use volumizing shampoo and only condition the ends. blow dry upside down.

yes wash it every day because when i dont wash it everyday it gets all poofy too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
