Highly unlikely.
If you sit over the bong and breathe in what they dont inhale then you have a chance.
If you are just breathing in second hand smoke, the THC (what you test for) is already inhaled and you would be fine...unless you are 'hot boxing' while trying to watch your friends smoke up the world record for weed.
They are looking for a certain amount of THC in your urine...not just the evidence of. You have to smoke to fail....anything less than (22 nano______ I believe) will fail you. WHich means you need to smoke to fail.
Either way....
if you are looking for a job, stay away from drugs. If you find one and want to use, do so carefully.
The best thing to do is just stay away period.

No you can't. My boyfriend had to drug test people for his last job and it's pretty impossible to fail a test from second hand smoke. Maybe if 10 people are holding you down and blowing it in your face.
You should be fine!!
By the way he quit that job, hating doing that to people!!!!

While you are in this "second hand smoke" do you also feel the same "buzz'. If you do, then obviously the "smoke" you inhaled made it to the blood stream and eventually your urine and would test positve. If that doesn't happen, then the likely hood is remote but always possible if the test was immediately after exposure. But if it was immediately after exposure then you employer could probably smell the dope on your clothes, even if you can't, and is the reason he has you taking a drug test to begin with.

My roommate would go in the bathroom and smoke. By the time he got out, the apt was filled with the aroma of the weed and I failed two of them. So absolutely yes.And I haven't smoked for 4 months.

Tobacco smoke- no, they aren't looking for it.
marijuana smoke- possibly, depends on how long you were exposed and for how long.
If you aren't smoking the wacky stuff yourself, stay away from anyone who is for two weeks and all residual affects to your system will be depleted. If you do smoke, don't for 45 days to be sure the THC has passed through your system.

If you're close enough to get a contact high, you're close enough to fail a drug test.

No.
It's testing drugs in your system, not on your clothes or skin.

for pot smoke, they can acutally tell whether or not you ingested pot or if you were in or around someone that did.
So if you did not smoke it, you should be fine
