Salvation is by grace. The only question not being baptised raises is: why are you not following Jesus in baptism?? Baptism is the first step in obedience to Christ, so why don't you do what he says if you are a Christian. If there is a valid answer and you are a Christian, then baptism is not the issue. Salvation by grace ..

You do not have to be baptized to get into heaven, but you do have to believe and accept Jesus. The thief on the cross is one example, but this is because he did not have the opportunity to be baptized. There are situations of people who accept Jesus as their savior, but are unable to be baptized.

John the Baptist told the people to repent and be baptized. Since you have the opportunity, you must do it.

Heaven is not for everyone; if you don’t receive Jesus during this lifetime, you would be miserable in a place that is ruled by a person that you don’t like. (Take President Bush as an example, if you don’t like him, then everything that he does will be wrong and you will be unhappy.)

Relax. Does it matter what anyone else really thinks? Ask a hundred different christians this, and you'll get a hundred different answers. You know why? Because when it comes down to the specifics, things that never really recieve a good enpough explanation from the religion, then the people have to find in their own heart what they believe.

We, as humans, will never be able to comprehend the divine in our temporal lives. None among us can know this. It's up to you to weigh it out, and see what the god you believe in would most likely do when faced with the unbaptized.

I personally feel that ceremony is for the benefit of the mind, not the soul. I'm not saying that it's pointless, or a bad thing, or anything like that. If ritual and ceremony strengthen your faith, then they can only be good for you. however, if you practice in other ways, then why should you suffer? I can't believe in a god so shallow that he would create minds intelligent enough to have free will, and yet have souls that are so simplistic that there is only one way to believe/practice. I think that for some people, the symbolism of a baptism really does open them to the divine, but a god who makes this fleeting moment mandatory for every soul is a petty one at best.

I don't think you have to be baptized to go to Heaven- It says in the Bible if you believe God to be true and acccept him as your personal savior that you will be a Christian and one day meet him in Heaven. Being baptized is just an extra step to publically announce you have chosen to accept God.
Think about it- when someone is sick and they are in the hospital and they decide they want to follow God and be saved and they get saved and then they die before they could get baptized, it doesn't mean they are going to hell. As long as you walk with God and believe in him and have accepted him in your heart and ask forgiveness, you will go to Heaven.
Just like me- I have been saved and a Christian my whole life, but was never baptized. My mom thought I was too young when I got saved to be baptized and so now I am almost 33 and have never been baptized, but I walk with the Lord and know I am going to meet him one day in Heaven.

No.
Keep in mind that the Lord is in Heaven...
Read: 2 Corinthians - Chapter 5:8.
When we leave this flesh body we go to Heave to wait for judgment. But, you should be baptize because Jesus did. You don't think you are better than Jesus, do you?

The Bible says that we should go into all the world preaching and teaching and baptizing in the name of Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. I don't think if you made up your mind to be baptized and then you die you won't be going toheaven, I do however, believe from what I read in the Bible that if you believe you should be baptized.

Baptism is the first step of obedience.

A person can get to heaven if they are a recent convert and didn't have time to get baptized.

A person that has been taught that baptism is one of the ordinances of the church yet WILL NOT get baptized is another issue.

Baptism is an outward act of an inner relationship with the Lord. No, I don't think you will be denied Heaven if you're not baptized. There are lots of times when baptism is not doable (prison, nursing homes, hospitals).

Baptisim is merely an outwards display of an inward decision. In other words, people accept Baptism because it shows the world that we believe in Christ and accept Him as God a part of the Three In One.

Not participating in Baptism does not mean that you have not accepted that, it just means that you haven't shown the world that you accepted that.

The scriptures state that the way to life with Christ is through Him, not through the act and ceremony of Baptism. It's a good ceremony and a good thing to do, but not really a "requirement" for the hereafter.

ok this is the absolute truth pplz!!!!!! if u believe that Jesus was real and he died on the cross to save your sins then u WILL go to heaven!!!! o, and if u are baptized that just means you have shown your beliefto the public and your are sort of proving to them that you do have Jesus in your life, you are sort of making a statement. and heaven does exist, if it doesnt then there would only be hell.

The bible says that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord you will be saved. Being baptized does not determine you salvation, however Jesus does command all believers to be baptized, even Jesus himself was baptized.
