Most consider a year as the marking point. But, the larger the breed the longer they stay in puppyhood. That is why it is recommended that large breeds be feed puppy food til they are 18 mos to 2 yrs old, as they are still in the process of growing. They usually reach their full height by a year, and then start to fill out after that point.

The traditional age is one year. However, some breeds of dogs are not completely grown in one year. It depends on the breed of dog. You might contact your vet and ask him or if you have access to the Internet, you might type in "how old does a dachshund have to be before it is considered grown" without the quotes. I used "dachshund" because I have one but the breed is just for an example. You can put in your dog's breed. You may have to switch the search words around--there may be too many of them for instance. You could just type in the breed of your dog in the search box at Yahoo for example. After this, you would get a list of sites about the breed. One of these sites should tell you the age at which a puppy of whatever breed you have is considered grown.

Two years is when a female dog is considered to be of breeding age, so that is really the outer limit. If you mean how old is the limit for puppy training classes, 18-20 weeks is normal.

Depends on the size of dog. I think typically its 18-24 months. I keep my dogs on puppy food until they are 2 years old.

no definite age boundary. a dog is no longer a puppy when he's grown out of being cute. hence, some dogs just dont get to be a puppy at all.
