Not as much as water. It also depends on what you are doing beside lime juice. If you are just drinking lime juice, it isn't healthy, but I am sure you'll lose weight. If you drink lime juice and then eat candy bars all day, you'll gain weight.
Eat healthy, drink water, exercise. That is the best way to lose weight, has been for many many years, and will always be the best way.

Actually, drinking lime juice, or a shot of apple cider vinegar, would produce the same reaction.
Its the acid that builds up in your system, (provided that your not a beer drinker already), that will break down the fat.
My buddy does it once a year, he will go for a month or so, and drink a shot of apple cider vinegar a day and lose a lot of weight...problem is, he doesnt change his eating habits, so he gains it back!
Now, if your a beer drinker forget it! Your system is already acidic from the beer...(beer is about 3.5 on the ph scale I believe), and the lime or vinegar will only acentuate the acidic nature of your body and produce ulcer sores in your mouth because the lining is etched away...
I wish you well...

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.
2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.
3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.
These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.

Since losing my weight, I have more confidence. I am more physically active, and I'm not afraid to take on physical challenges. For example, I have run 10Ks, learned how to snow-ski, and recently participated in a mud run. Losing the weight has also given me the strength to do something I never thought I would be qualified for, and that is teach a self-esteem class for a nonprofit organization.

I've not heard of lime juice, but I have heard that drinking a teaspoon of pure vinegar twice a day will help. I haven't personally tried it but have talked to people who have.

well any citrus fruit is known to boost your metabolism rate, although inm not sure if it works for everyone. it doesnt work for me, but i know ppl who do.
it alsp depends on the rest of your lifestyle.
its not like okay ill drink this and 5 min later your diggging into a bag of lays or a big chocolate cake. im not saying don't eat it.. of course eat it but have portion control, regular excersise, and lime or any citrus juice in your daily diet
Developing a healthy lifestyle takes more than hard work. It takes knowledge. Our nutrition experts have the knowledge and experience to help you achieve your goals.
There are many web sites out there offering nutrition and diet plans, but most of them are nothing more than computer-generated reports. They are not customized, they are not personal, and they will not help you achieve your goals.
Our Nutrition clients receive an in-depth consultation with Theresa Davis MS, RD or Jennifer Schwallie, RD. Theresa and Jen will develop a program based on your specific needs and your lifestyle.
Step 1: Analyzing your personal information from the intake form. This process sets the stage for your personalized nutritional plan. No two individuals receive the exact same plan. Factors such as your age, height, weight, sex, goals, and past nutrition history are considered when creating your nutritional plan.
Step 2: Calculating unique caloric needs. Basal Metabolic Rate will be calculated, and added to your unique level of activity, and on a case by case basis, adjusted for your desired goal (weight loss, health condition, more energy, etc.).
Step 3: Analyzing macronutrient needs. The percent of carbohydrate, proteins, and fats, as well as their sources, can have a profound effect on weight loss, and addressing a specific health condition. Your unique needs will be the sole factor in determining such percentages. A sample menu pattern based on this information, and the calculation of step 1, will completely remove all the guess work out of consuming the proper amount of calories. A sample meal pattern will be provided to avoid the tedious task of counting calories.
Step 4: Each comprehensive nutritional plan offers 4 weeks of nutritional follow up, to track your progress, answer your questions, and address any problems you may encounter. YOUR participation is vital here. After we provide you with the basics, we need to know how you’re doing; what’s working and what’s not. Therefore, each week you’ll be expected to give your nutrition a progress report including your weight, a food diary, any problems you may have encountered (and successes too!) as well as any nutrition and / or exercise related questions that may come to mind. Your nutritionist will use this information to provide you with specific feedback to help you meet your nutrition goals.
June 16, 2006 - A glass of citrus juice a day could be good for your bone health. A new study in the current issue of Nutrition finds one or two glasses of orange, grapefruit or other citrus juice each day may help prevent osteoporosis linked bone fractures.
The study was conducted on laboratory mice with low levels of testosterone. That's a growing problem with aging men.
It found the juice fed rodents showed enhanced bone density. Scientists say the next step is to study the cellular makeup of the rats' bones to determine how the juice actually improved bone strength.
