Watch television, read, draw, use the computer, or do absolutely nothing...meaning turn off the television, radio, lights, EVERYTHING, and just sit in bed facing a wall or something...just sit and think about whaever comes to mind...you will fall asleep faster than you think.

Practicing good sleep habits can help with insomnia. If you can't sleep, get up out of bed. Don't toss around, that will just make you pissed off in addition to being awake! Go to the couch and watch TV or read a book for about a half hour or sooer if you feel sleepy. Then go back to bed and try again. You can also try some "white noise" like a fan to help soothe you to sleep.

Get up and do something. If you have the energy then laying in bed only makes it worse. Make sure you turn the clock away from you, so you can't keep looking at it. My doctor once told me that people sleep better if they only use their bed for sleep, sex and pillow talk. I tend to read or watch tv in mine too, which is part of why I have trouble sleeping. Try to exercise in the mornings, that always helps me sleep better at night. Good luck

Usaully get up and do something like walk around. Or watch something boring or be on the computer for a while. I usaully watch tv before i go to sleep and sometimes leave the tv on when sleeping. The tv helps me go to sleep alot of times

Get up and have short, warm shower. That nearly always works. Sometimes, I have a cigarette and fall almost instantly asleep. An almost foolproof thing is to have a warm cup of cocoa or just warm (not hot) milk. Reading just engages the mind and I've found it to be useless, as is counting sheep.

i live in India in a cosy bungalow kind of house n it has huge windows n a big garden full of mango ,jack fruit,guava,lime trees etc.sometimes when i cant sleep i sit by the window facing the garden..its just amazing..u can feel the cool breeze flowing..no traffic noises or my mom's nagging .....i just love to star gaze ..its lovely..i mean the whole atmosphere is like straight from a story book..i look at the stars for hours..its magical..i feel so liberated..no tensions no deadlines...i cant put tat experience..wat i feel at tat time into words..its just like ur in a wonderful dream only difference is ur awake

Generally people dont get sleep when they are disturbed in mind or by any health problem.If you have health problem then go to Doctor But if your mind is disturbed then prey to the God and say this is your world and you take care of everyone.I am your child and I believe that if all are Happy I will be Happy too.O God help me so that I can help others who are in need of it.Bless me with sound sleep.Amen .........with this you will get sound sleep try it.

eat some snack, read book, watch tv, play some computer game. just make your stomach full and make yourself tired and stress free,clear your mind, i guarantee it can make u sleep.
some people hardly sleep at night is because whether they have something in mind/ anxious / after drink caffein drink/just awake from evening nap/too late to start sleep , overnight already.

I try counting backwards from 100, if that doesn't work I put on the food network, that usually knocks me out.
