From my understanding, (I could be mistaken..) You could launder the items, although putting them in the dryer would easily cause a fire or explosion. I would seek out a dry cleaner to see if there are any plausible options in that end.

Hi, what I have done is get a bucket or a pan of some kind put 1/2 soap and 1/2 hot water in it then put the clothing in to soak. You may need to change the water 2 or 3 times as the gas/diesel comes out. Then when they look like they are clean, I have put in my washer alone and on the small cycle washed them and then taken and old rag after and wiped out the washer and ran it empty to make sure no diesel of any kind. Hope this helps. P S I let them hang dry.

Gasoline On Clothing: Gasoline is an oil based product, therefore, use another oil based product to pull out the odor (which is left because all the gas oil has not been removed yet). You can use any kind of oil that normally washes out of clothing, like baby oil. Put some of the oil into the washer along with the clothes, let it swish around for a while, then put in the detergent and all should come out okay.
If you spill gasoline on clothing, immediately remove it, then place the clothing outdoors for several days before washing and drying it so the vapors can evaporate. Clothes dryers can catch fire if you don't allow the vapors to escape first, even if you have washed the clothing.

Find a large metal trashcan and a match...

Seriously, why would you want to launder it? You can never know for sure that you will get all the gas out. And petroleum products are organic, which means they can pass through your skin. Why would you ever want to wear something like that again???

I would hand wash in cold water to dilute the fuel. Maybe do that in a bucket so the water fuel mixture doesn't go down the drain. Dump on some weeds. (may salt the earth for a bit). After the hand wash and dilution, wash them like normal.

Soak them in laundry soap in a bucket and get as much of the gas out as possible then put them to wash by themselves in the machine. with soap of course.
