You burn more calories/fat by walking for a longer time because walking is the best exercise you can get!

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Get started today!

yes.

Walks should be at least 2 hours at a sturdy pace to have effect you can measure.
Running needs a basic stamina and is hard on your knees.

Depends on what you can handle. Running will burn more as more of your body is active. Walking will let you use your knees after 10 years if overweight is a 'big' problem for you.

we need to define this. Usually, 45 minutes of running burns much more calories than 1 hour of walking.

But, 45 minutes of running burns much fewer calories than 6 hours of walking.

You burn equal calories over a distance

Over the same distance - running. The power at which your body works is much higher - i.e. if you ran twice as fast as you walked, you would be working at like 3 times the rate. (I don't know exactly)
