I've tried the cheapys from Dollar Store, and I've tried Hefty ziplock. They both leak.

It depends on how water-proof you need this to be. No zipper bag is going to stand up to much abuse, but I think the Ziploc brand is the best - there's a new line with double zippers that works pretty well.

However, if you have a real need for something stronger, buy a food vacuum storage system. You don't have to vacuum the bag to seal it tight - there are instructions.

What are you storing in them? If you want to store something liquid like leftover soup or chili, I've had great results with the new Ziploc bowls. They have a lid that screws on, and I dropped one with soup in it and it didn't leak at all. They come in two sizes and could hold any kind of leftover I would think.

I looked at the ziploc website and they are called "Twist 'n Loc" containers.

I've only used Ziploc brands because I feel they are the best. I've never had any leakage problems. What are you trying to carry acid or something?
