Anything - but my choice would be Winnie the Pooh for the baby and Stephen King for me.

Poetry. But read it to your wife.

The idea right now is that the baby is getting to know your voice so after birth it will recognize you when you speak to it.
So you want to be talking in a nice, gentle tone anytime you are in close proximity to it but since the baby isn't actually comprehending what is said. Why not get a book of romantic poetry to read to your wife on a nightly or daily basis? Doesn't have to be any certain type, just what you like.

Any kind, but probably a pleasant, happy type. My oldest daughter always read to her babies, and now my oldest grandson is an A student and just passed into his senior year of high school. We expect him to go to Harvard or The Johns Hopkins University! His two siblings are following in his footsteps as well.

It works!

Educational stuff. Always speak in complete phrases or sentences to your child and explain what you are doing, NEVER resort to that disgusting"Goo Goo gah gah aah baaby", baby talk, the child will only have to learn to speak again With a modicum of luck you will produce a genius

ANY, The encyclopedia will even work. Trust me, they don't understand the words yet. You are just trying to convey the message that we communicate through words. My wife read to our daughter every night, while she was still in the womb. Our daughter is extremely intelligent now.

Stick your head underwater. Then have someone read the story to you. Whatever sounds good that way, because that's what the baby hears.
