Brush out your dog once a day outside - most of the time it is the undercoat shedding. If you brush it out this should reduce the amount of little pug hairs in your house. By the way Pugs are so cute!!

The first cause of excessive shedding is most often corn in his kibble. Pugs don't tolerate corn well, as it makes them too hot..and they already have enough trouble dealing with overheating.
I'm betting that if they switch to a premium kibble, such as Canidae, Innova, Solid Gold, Wellness, or Wysong, the shedding would be much reduced. Of course, all dogs shed in the Spring, but excessive shedding is non-stop heavy shedding.
We used to have a wonderful pug. I was ignorant of proper pug diet then, and my pug shed alot. I met someone who raised pugs for show, and mentioned the shedding problem, and she enlightened me...sigh...but too late for my little guy. However, I have switched to Canidae, and have far less shedding with my other dogs.

keep brushing him or her with a good shedding brush that gets the undercoat. every day maintenance will help. i don't think there is anything else you can do. there is a new product out that is suppose to help stop shedding, but i would consult your vet before using any drugs. nature must take it's course. males shed once a year, females every 6 months. how about sticky rollers in every room for your clothes and furniture. i know it's hard. i have pet hair flying everywhere. long hair animals don't leave as much hair on furniture. dogs like labs will lay down and get up leaving their outline in hair. good luck, julie

Most dogs shed their undercoat, try using a brush made for pulling out the undercoat. Check out the MiracleCorp Slicker Brush by Miracle Coat, we bought ours at Petsmart.

Change the type of food to one with less fillers. Meat should be the first ingredient on the list. Brush it more.

Brush him regularly, and check on his diet with your vet. He may have a vitamin deficiency or skin condition.
