This got ten points for 'best answer':

Many atheists choose to believe that they created theirself... and that is how they exist. They created theirself through the power of thought, kind of like, "I think; therefore, I am." They worship theirself as a god because they believe their thoughts control everything around them, this is more of a Satanic belief... but they don't call theirself god, or else they would be Satanism. They kind of believe that the world is, was, and always will be... while some people believe that god is, was, and always will be.

Would anybody like to offer their opinions on this lucid, thoughtful, accurate and well-formed religious commentary?

Whoever wrote that knows nothing about atheism.

I have lifelong experience with atheism; I have read extensively on the subject and know many other atheists personally, and not once have I ever heard anyone claim that they thought themselves into existence. It's foolish, and it's also out of character for realists, as atheists tend to be.

I have also never encountered an atheist who "worships himself as a god."

The writer also drastically misunderstands Descartes. "I think, therefore I am" is intended as a statement of philosophical proof, not as a description of how one came to be. It means "the observable fact that I think is proof that I exist," not "I created myself by thinking."

The writer clearly pulled this mess of supposition and imaginings out of thin air. I doubt she's knowingly met a single atheist in her life. I'm hard-pressed to imagine how that answer could be made any less correct and less informed than it is.

1. I might be wrong, I can't prove when I die nothing will happen.

This I believe:

1. There is no God.
2. I am not God.

Why do religious people think the way they do.

1. They believe in a fantasy God, much like children who believe in Santa Claus.
2. To have any intelligent conversation with them regarding any topic is hard to manage, based on their world view as stated above, they believe in a fantasy God.

In the context of the mythology we can learn great amounts of information on the Bible or the Qu'ran from those who do believe in the mythology, and have an intelligent conversation about what the books tell believers, absolutely.

That kind of sums it up. Not exactly well written, but the idea describes a lot of the atheists. When Christians talk about God creating us in his image they deny this vehemently, and insist on the supposed fact that they are from monkeys. When the Christian offers them heaven and eternity with God, many, (not all) will openly say that they don't want to go to heaven and write that they want to go to hell. This is a no win, talking to a person that believes that they are a animal and doesn't want eternal life. They have no concept and apparently are not able to believe in the reality of God and the wonderful things he has for humanity. They have not experienced his great love for us and don't seem to want to. No wonder so many of them are writing here about suicide and the futility of life. It is a sad situation, but what can a Christian do but pray for them,

What was the question that it got best answer for? Sounds like a thoughtful person, but I dont use that set of terms and beliefs. Satanism is Satan worship. The Ego "I' is self worship and EVERYONE does it, Narcissus at the pond. Self Guruing.

There are at least 45,000 Protestant churches in the U.S.

What caused all these different beliefs if the MESSAGE is so clear?

What makes you believe that you have more than a 1 in 45,000 chance of being in the 'correct' church?

Virgin Birth - A preconceived notion?

What is the Imacculate Conception?

An Imacculate deception?

Betcha don't know.

Did Jesus give up Saturday for us?

Jesus? Christianity? .

If Jesus died, he could NOT have been God.

Gods do not die? Do they?

If Jesus 'died' on Friday and 'undied' on Sunday, what else besides Saturday was sacrificed?

If Jesus died for our sins, thre should not be any more sins.

If Jesus really DIED, he should be dead, dead, dead!

My opinion, which is by the way TRUTH too!!!
If the CREATOR so desired, and wasn't locked-into Spiritual LAW's by Declaring them to begin with(contract's HE made) then HE could destroy everthing at one time. Bingo---no more controversy, and we wouldn't be around to agrue about it either. But I can't prove that, so I will say this: all Truth is parallel, just interpreted differently.
Atheist's say: I think there-fore I am.
GOD say's: as a man think's in his heart, so is he.
Atheist's think that their thought's control EVERY-THING around them.
GOD say's: the Kingdom of GOD is inside you, and the Kingdom of GOD is outside of you.
Atheist's think that the world always was.
GOD said in the Beginning, HE Created the EARTH.
(how am I doing???)
All TRUTH is parallel, REAL TRUTH is Spiritual to begin with, then it control's the Physical World. To understand REAL TRUTH, you have to be SPIRITUAL(Born-Again) other-wise you stay blinded and come up with PARALLEL's!!!!!!!! Ditto!!!!!!!

LOL

I'm not sure what's more stupid, the answer itself or this being picked as the best answer, if at least there was any clue that it indicated it was a joke, but after reading messages like the one just above my answer, yeah, such answer (and question) are probably very serious. Oh no, there is not much hope!

I wouldn't worry about what an athiest thinks.*LOL* They should be thankful thay can think at all.

They can say it all started with a Big Bang and everything that happened is an accident. But who caused the Bang? And why?
